I am so pleased to be able to offer you this fantastic Mindfulness Based Living course (MBLC) put together by the Mindfulness Association. The MBLC course was originally developed by Rob Nairn and is based on the University of Aberdeen’s MSc Studies in Mindfulness Curriculum.
The working definition of mindfulness is: knowing what is happening, whilst it is happening, without preference.
I have attended many mindfulness courses and retreats (including silent) over the last 16 years. This course gave me the gift of freedom from my overthinking mind and ruminating thoughts which had led to anxiety and depression.
My passion for mindfulness has grown over the years and continues to grow, as I see and experience how life-changing the practice can be. I have trained to teach the 8-week MBLC, so that I could offer this gift to others. If you are struggling with your overthinking mind, or feel a sense of dissatisfaction in your life, this course could be for you.
Below, are some of the benefits that participants have reported, as a result of completing the course:
- Feeling more relaxed and calm
- A reduction in anxiety
- Improved sleep
- A better handling of the overthinking mind
- Improved concentration
- Enjoying the present moment
- Less reactive and angry
This is an experiential course, where teacher talk is kept to a minimum. The main emphasis is on mindfulness meditation practices and exercises. The sessions are run on a weekly basis, for a duration of 2 hours.
Recent feedback includes:
“Such a great and empowering space, and Paula is amazing at what she does. Since doing the 8 week course I’m happier in myself and taking each day as it comes. The course and Paula have helped me so much to deal with things from my past and to let others go. Thank you Paula for all you have done.” – Jennifer
This course will cover:

- Start where we are
- The body as a place to stay present
