It’s often been said that Mindfulness and Compassion are two wings of a bird. You cannot have one without the other. This is especially true in times of difficulty.
The 8-week Compassion Based Living Course is a follow on from the 8-week Mindfulness Based Living Course. It supports further development of our self- compassion and compassion for others and in my own experience has improved the relationship I have with myself and those around me.
The course explores cultivating self-compassion and learning a new way of relating to ourselves. Instead of meeting our imperfections and challenges with self-blame or criticism, we learn to become more accepting and kind to ourselves, even in difficult situations. This is developed through a range of guided mindfulness practices, which encourage us to strengthen qualities, including kindness to ourselves and resilience.
Throughout the 8 weeks, you will access a range of guided mindfulness practices and teachings. Some of the topics we will be investigating are:
- Why practice compassion?
- The Compassionate Mess
- It is not our fault – an evolutionary perspective
- Creating conditions of safeness
- Befriending the self-critic
- Finding the compassionate friend within
- The Four Compassionate Qualities
- Widening the circle of compassion
The investment for the 8- week group course is £185
The investment for the 8-week 1-1 course is £275 (payment is requested upon booking, instalment are an option)
In person sessions are held in the beautiful mindfulness space pod based in North Walsham Norfolk or for those wanting to work with me outside of the area your course can be held via the zoom platform online.
